Police arrest five men in connection with Sunday’s Bed-Stuy stabbing death

Five suspects have been arrested after allegedly stabbing a 23-year-old Brooklyn man to death on Sunday and stabbing another victim, according to the NYPD.

Officers responded to 887 Myrtle Ave., in Bedford-Stuyvesant, just before 2 a.m. on Sunday. They found Juan Carlos Luna-Juarez, 23, with stab wounds to the chest, and a 24-year-old man with stab wounds to his shoulder.

The men were taken to Kings County Hospital, where Luna-Juarez was pronounced dead.

Five suspects, all from Brooklyn, were later arrested on charges of second-degree murder and attempted murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon. They are: Miguel Bello, 31, Carmello Bello, 25, Celestino Martinez, 22, Martin Carillo, 33 and Javier Ortiz, 33.
