Police arrest man in connection with South Philly burglary

Police arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the burglary of a South Philadelphia grocery store.

Police announced Monday thatTyrone Williams, 22, of the 2200 block of North Darien Street, was charged with the burglary ofthe Triple L Grocery at 2601 Beulah St. on June 3.

Williams allegedly entered the store around 1:30 a.m. after he removed a window air conditioner, filled a trash bag full of items including several cartons of cigarettes, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On June 13, while in custody on an unrelated matter, Williams was identified as the suspect and charged, police said.
