A dashboard-mounted camera documented the joyride as he dashed in and out of lanes and ran red lights. Tang traveled southbound on the FDR Drive at East 116th Street to Battery Park and all the way back up West Street until he reached 116th Street again.
Members of the NYPD's Highway District Collision Investigation Squad identified the operator of the vehicle after reviewing the video.
Tang has been charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, traffic device violation, moving between lanes unsafely, following too close and speeding. Police have also seized his BMW.
