Police have determined that the body found in the Schuylkill River yesterday was that of the woman who crashed her car into the water last Thursday.
A passerby made the discovery around 3:45 p.m. yesterday and alerted authorities.
Police are waiting for the family’s permission to release the woman’s identity. They are also inspecting the car the woman was driving, which was pulled from the river Thursday night, and awaiting a Medical Examiner’s report. Both may shed more light into the incident.
