Police officers shot and killed an armed suspect in the Bronx on Halloween night after they chased him on foot, authorities said.

 

Two uniformed cops responding to a 911 call about shots fired spotted the suspect fitting the description inside the Castle Hill Houses about 11 p.m., police said. Shots were fired, and the suspect ran.

 

Shots were fired again near Randall and Olmstead avenues. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Police released a photo of the .45 caliber that was recovered at the location.
