Police cruiser hits light pole during morning pursuit

A Police cruiser in Roxbury crashed after chasing a stolen car near Egleston Square around 9:30 am Thursday morning.

After attempting several times to pull the vehicle over, the suspect behind the wheel threw the car into reverse, smashing into a cop car.

According to police reports, when police pursued the suspect, they slammed into a light post.

The car was found hours later, abandoned, according to police.
