Police have charged a Drexel Hill man with leaving his 6-month-old daughter unattended in a hot car while he watched his son's T-ball game.

Stephen Campbell, 33, allegedly left his daughter in the car for about 45 minutes Sunday afternoon while watching the ball game, the Delaware County Times reports.

Police were called to the Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, ball field about 3:30 p.m. for a pediatric emergency. Campbell was carrying his daughter as he ran toward two arriving police officers, explaining he had forgotten she was in the car, the paper reports.

The girl was treated at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, and was released to her mother.

Campbell was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and related offenses.
