Police made a surprising discovery in North Philadelphia over the weekend when they found a 36-year-old female bound to a bed with sores on her body.

Officers shortly before midnight on Aug. 16 responded to a neighborhood dispute on the 200 block of Linton Street in Olney. Police arrested 46-year-old Regina Bennett and charged her with terroristic threats, simple assault, public drunkenness, aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and more.

When officers were leaving the location, they were told a small child was living where Bennett was taken into custody. When police walked through the residence, they found a 36-year-old woman bound to a bed with bodily injuries. Police said she had a limited vocabulary and appeared to have special needs.

Police cut the woman free and she was admitted to Einstein Hospital for evaluation.

The bound woman's relationship to Bennett is yet to be determined.
