Police have identified the cab driver shot and killedearly Wednesday morning during an attempted robbery in West Philadelphia.
Officers responding to a report of a shooting shortly after 12:30 a.m. found 33-year-old Hafiz Salman Sarafaqaz, of Upper Darby, slumped in the driver's seat of an All City Taxi cab that had crashed into a building on the 6200 block of Walnut Street.
Sarafaqaz had been shot in his torso and left arm.
He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he died shortly after 1:30 a.m.
No arrests have been made at this time.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
