Boston police on Monday identified the home invasion suspect shot dead by a Dorchester resident last week as a 20-year-old Roxbury man.

Jordan Chinapoo was fatally shot when he allegedly attempted a home invasion with another man on Wednesday, police said.

Chinapoo’s alleged accomplice, Cedric Slayden, 18, of Boston, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. He pleaded not guilty last week.

Slayden fled when the homeowner of an apartment at 85 Esmond St. shot at the duo.

Police are investigating the incident and no charges have been filed against the homeowner.
