Police on Sunday identified a man shot and killed in West Philadelphia Friday morning as Amefika Nettles, 40, of the 5400 block of Christian Street.
Investigators said Nettles was around 5:45 a.m. shot three times each in the back and arm on the 700 block of South 55th Street near Christian Street.
A medic rushed the victim to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he died around 8:45 a.m.
No arrests had yet been made Sunday.
