Police have released sketches of two men they say are responsible for an anti-gay attack in Chelsea earlier this week.
Two male victims were walking in the vicinity of West 25th Street and Ninth Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday when they were approached by the suspects who hurled anti-gay slurs at them, police said. The two suspects then proceeded to punch and kick the victims, with an additional three or four suspects joining in on the attack.
The assailants piled on top of the victims, with the original two suspects shouting “f—t” while punching them in the face and stomach, Metro reported on Wednesday.
The victims, 53 and 27, were treated and released at Beth Israel Hospital.
Police released the sketches on Friday morning. The first suspect is described as a black male with brown eyes and black hair, last seen wearing a white t-shirt. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male with brown eyes and black hair, in his late teens, with tattoos on his chest and arms.
