Police seek IDs of suspects, victim in violent Fenway attack (video)

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a victim and a group of youths who violently tried to rob a woman walking along Huntington Avenue today.

The attack occurred about 11:50 a.m. today near Symphony Hall.

A woman was walking along the sidewalk with a bag on her arm when she was attacked from behind by a group of six people.

The video shows one of the suspects try to grab the woman’s bag. The woman tries to hold on to the bag and is pulled to the ground where another suspect in the group kicks and punches her.

The group then gives up and calmly walks away down the street as the woman tries to find help.

The woman was not made herself known to police.

Boston Police were alerted to the video of the attempted robbery by Northeastern University police officers who first responded to the scene.
