Police seek man who allegedly assaulted 17-year-old ex-girlfriend

Delaware State Police are looking for a Dover man who allegedly assaulted his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend early Tuesday morning.


Investigators said Dion Williams, 21, was on Webbs Lane near the Alder Park Apartments when hearound midnight approached the 17-year-old girl, with whom he had a previous relationship.


Williams allegedly brandished a handgun, then kicked and punched the teen.


At one point, police said, he pistol-whipped his ex-girlfriend in the head.

Williams then fled the area in a blue SUV.

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Kent General Hospital and released.

Williams is now wanted for aggravated menacing, terroristic threatening, offensive touching, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.
