A press conference is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. today at which police will announce the arrest of a suspect in the murder of a woman found dead after going for a jog in Pennypack Park.
According to anonymous sources, husband Christopher Murray, 48, has been arrested in the death of his wife Connie Murray, 46, the Daily News reported.
Five days after Connie Murray's body was found in Northeast Philadelphia, Christopher Murray reportedly has confessed to the slaying. Police reportedly also said he was not distraught during questioning by detectives.
Christopher Murray told police that Connie set off toward the park to go jogging around 9 p.m. Monday night.
When she did not come home hours later he went looking for her and could not find her, he told police.
Murray's body was found along the 3000 block of Holme Avenue by a female neighbor who was walking her dog around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Sources are now saying that Christopher Murray confronted Connie in the park and strangled her to death.
Police are expected to confirm or deny those rumors this afternoon.
