Police try to reconnect victims with stolen items through Facebook

Police in Natick have turned to Facebook to help reconnect victims of a break-in spree that resulted in over $1 million worth of stolen items.

Natick police posted 76 photographs of items on the department’s Facebook page today. Those items range from jewelry and foreign coins to silver spoons and iPhones.

The items were recovered after a search warrant was executed and Craig Cromartie, 44, of Framingham was arrested earlier this week. He was charged with three counts of breaking and entering, but is suspected in as many as 200 burglaries in the area, authorities said.

Police from Boston, Framingham, Natick and elsewhere were part of a task force investigating the burglaries.

Police said that if anyone believes the items belong to them to contact the police department where they reported the theft.
