Prosecutors: Dorchester teens had bloody clothes

Three teens from Dorchester arrested for the violent stabbing had what was likely blood stains on their clothes when they were arrested.

The three teens from Dorchester arrested for the violent stabbing of an 18-year-old man near the Park Street T station during rush hour last week had what was likely blood stains on their clothes when they were arrested, authorities said.

Johnnie Bonnie, 18, Jermaine Gillespie, 17, and a 15-year-old were charged yesterday with armed assault with intent to murder.

The clothing the teens were wearing when they were arrested Tuesday had “reddish-brown stains consistent with blood spatter,” prosecutors said. Those stains were to be tested.

Police used surveillance video from nearby T stations and cell phone video from witnesses to help track the teens’ movements throughout the T system and eventually confirm their identities and arrest them.

Prosecutors said the 5:30 p.m. Friday stabbing was not random.

The victim was stabbed five times in the stomach and chest and is now expected to survive.
