Quincy Center panhandler attacked women who refused to give money

MBTA transit police today released a photograph of a man they say assaulted two women at Quincy Center Station after they refused to hand over money.

The incident allegedly happened at 10:50 p.m. on Oct. 8, after the women denied his request to help him pay for fare, transit police said.

According to a report by transit police, the suspect “became agitated when the victims refused, and assaulted both females, causing bodily injury.”

Now, two weeks later, transit police are still on the hunt for the man, who is pictured wearing a fedora and a black Adidas shirt. Police describe him as between 30 and 35 years old, and being between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11.

Transit police said anyone with information about this individual can call the Criminal Investigations Unit at 617-222-1050, or the Intelligence Unit at 617-222-1170.
