Ranking: Boston Latin School is best high school in Massachusetts

A new ranking has put Boston Latin School atop all other high schools in Massachusetts.

The nation’s first public school, Boston Latin School was ranked as the top public high school in Massachusetts and the 56th best high school in the country, according to a recent ranking compiled by U.S. News & World Report.

The ranking said that the Advanced Placement participation rate at the school is 97 percent and that the student to teacher ratio is 19 to 1.

Rounding out the top three high schools in the state were the Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School in Marlborough and Belmont High School.

The best high school in the nation was the School for the Talented and Gifted in Dallas.
