Rapper, actor Ice-T arrested in Manhattan

NEW YORK. Ice-T, who plays a detective on “Law and Order Special Victims Unit,” was arrested yesterday after police stopped him for driving without a seat belt at West 40th Street and 11th Avenue and found his insurance was expired.

An angry Ice-T (real name Tracey Morrow) wrote about the encounter with police on Twitter: “He said ‘I know who you are and I don’t give a f—!’ That was right after I called him a punk b—.”

Ice-T, whose 1992 song “Cop Killer” stirred controversy among those who saw it as glamorizing attacks on police, was given a ticket and released.
