Red? Blue? Grab a cocktail your color for the election

If you think you may need a stiff drink to get through the state-by-state election results, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered. Here are a few places ready with election-style drinks:

SideBAR will be ready for Romney fans, with a $5 “Rum-ney” shot for Republican supporters.

The Village Pourhouse, in contrast, will be offering $5 “Barack O-Bombs” for Democratic diehards. People in both spots will be dressed as the presidential candidates.

Jay-Z’s The 40/40 Club in Midtown will offer the “USA Martini,” which is a cocktail with Godiva white chocolate liqueur, grenadine, blueberry vodka, vanilla vodka and blue Curacao.

In Soho, The Vault at Pfaff’s will host a viewing party from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., featuring live coverage and election cocktails like the Boston-inspired cocktail “Ward Eight,” with a New England lobster roll, or from the other side, a “Chicago Cocktail” and another Windy City-inspired bite, a hot dog.

If you happen to be in Times Square, hit up R Lounge at the Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel, which will offer red, white and blue chips and dips with patriotically colored drinks.

If you’re more in the mood for food, Neely’s Barbecue Parlor on the Upper East Side will offer Barack’s Bowl of Chili and Mitt’s Mini Meatloaf, both for $5.95. Wash it down with a Bipartisan Margarita, $5.

Carmine’s in Midtown has a few Election Day cocktails, “Another 4 Years” with whiskey, blueberries, fresh lemon and lime, and “The New Guy in Town” with cranberries, Absolut Cherrykran and lemonade.

The Tea Party even gets a nod here, with “The Tea People” for $12, featuring hard cider and vodka.
