The Red Cross will give $1.25 million to Brooklyn communities still recovering from Sandy.

The grant, which will officially be announced tomorrow, will go toward the Brooklyn Community Foundation.

The cash will help communities like Canarsie, Coney Island, Gerritsen Beach, Red Hook and Sheepshead Bay.

The funding is some of the $303 million the Red Cross received in public donations after Sandy.

The organization reports that it is partnering with community groups to help meet needs with the donated funds.
