Red Sox fans who were lucky enough to get tickets to attend Opening Day at Fenway Park on Monday were not so lucky when they got another ticket they didn’t expect.

More than 100 cars were ticketed during Opening Day, according to Brookline police. The total was 130 tickets, police said.

The city had warned people ahead of Monday’s game to heed signs and feed the meters. Parking along the lower end of Beacon Street, for example, is allowed for Red Sox games, but there is still a four-hour limit.
