A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for an attempted rape in East Williamsburg.

Police said the above surveillance video shows the suspect they believe broke into a 21-year-old woman's home on Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn.

The attack reportedly occurred Sept. 8 about 12:25 a.m.

The suspect, described as a 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-7, was wearing a white T-shirt with a design on the left shoulder, police said.


According to police reports, he climbed on top of the sleeping 21-year-old woman and tried to rape her.

She reportedly fought back and he fled out a window. Police said the victim reported minor injuries only.

The NYPD is offering $10,000 for the arrest and conviction of this person. An additional $2,000 is being offered by Crime Stoppers for the arrest and indictment.
