Police said the woman was walking home from Ladder 15 tavern at 15th and Sansom Streets to her apartment on the 1900 block of Spruce Street around 1 a.m. when she was approached by a Hispanic man between the ages of 25 and 30.

The man allegedly pushed her toward her building's entrance and while holding her by the neck forced her to open her front door.
