A man was assaulted during an attempted robbery in the bathroom of a fast-food restaurant just off Temple University's campus, police said.
The Nov. 3 attack, caught partially by surveillance cameras, occurred about 5 p.m. at the Wendy's restaurant at 1708 N. Broad St.
According to police, an approximately 20-year-old man walked inside the men's bathroom and started punching the occupant in the head and tried to wiggle his hands into his pockets.
After a brief scuffle, the victim was able to fight off the suspect and was chased from the restroom before being pushed into the cashier's counter by the attacker. The victim told the cashier to call police, and the attacker fled the store.
The suspect is described as about 20 years old, 6 feet-1 inch tall and weighing about 175 pounds, with a light complexion.
Police ask that anyone with information call 215-686-TIPS (8477) or text a tip to PPD TIP( 773847).
