Police are searching for two armed robbers who stole $60,000 from a Lower Manhattan Whole Foods on Sunday night.

A group of employees was transporting the cash from the first floor to the second floor via an elevator inside the East Houston Street store about 10 p.m. when the robbers ambushed them on the second floor, police said.

When the elevator doors opened, one of the suspects pointed a silver firearm at the employees and ordered them to the ground. The second suspect tied one of the employees’ hands behind his back. The men then fled with the money onto Chrystie Street, cops said.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspects. Both are described as black males with dreadlocks. The suspect carrying the gun is about 6 feet tall and wore a brown coat. The second suspect was wearing a black sweater.
