Transit Police on Thursday arrested a South Boston man who is wanted for robbery after he allegedly tried to sneak into the Downtown Crossing MBTA Station.

Luis Torres, 23, allegedly attempted to "piggyback" through the turnstiles by following a paying customer, police said. Undercover officers approached Torres to issue a citation, and discovered he had an arrest warrant issued out of Middlesex Superior Court for masked armed robbery.
