A fashion emergency was the downfall of one alleged cellphone thief who was tripped up by his own pants as he attempted to flee the scene of the crime.
Joel Donaldson, 21, is accused of punching a woman in the face and stealing her phone near Brooklyn Borough Hall on Tuesday.
He took off running, but his low-riding jeans slowed him down.
“He was zigzagging all over the place, but he couldn’t run because his pants was falling down,” witness Arlene Williams told the New York Post.
A police officer nabbed Donaldson a mere block away. He was charged with robbery.
