It wasn't a peaceful Thanksgiving holiday for one Salem family, who saw their Turkey day fall apart into an all-out brawl between a mother and her son's girlfriend.
A Salem woman named Tiffany Zemp was arrested by police on Thursday after authorities received a call that a woman had beat up her boyfriend's mother over a plumbing issue.
The Salem News reportsZemp will head to Salem District Court on Friday morning, where she'll face assault charges following the brawl, in which sheallegedly grabbed her boyfriend's mother's hair, and slammed her into the floor repeatedly, causing injuries to her face. She also grabbed the woman's wrists so hard she left fingernail marks.
Zemp was already out on bail following an arrest last September, in which she was cuffed for attempting to steal a Playstation console from a friend. However, she was arrested again and charged with two counts of assault and battery on a person over 60 and a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (the floor) on a person over 60.
The Department of Children and Family Services was also contacted because Zemp's two young children witnessed the fight.
