Flooding and a fatal car accident have reduced the Schuylkill Expressway to one lane in each direction near Montgomery Drive on Wednesday morning.
Flooding has forced the closure of the outside lanes on the eastbound side of I-76.
The deadly crash happened about 4:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes, 6ABC Action News reports. All westbound lanes were closed for about three hours as Pennsylvania state troopers investigated the crash, which reportedly involved a van, a sedan and a gasoline tanker and resulted in one fatality and injuries to at least four others.
Police reopened one lane of westbound traffic at about 7:30 a.m.
