Scrap metal accident shuts down Route 202 in Montgomery County

A stretch of Route 202 has been shut down in Montgomery County after a truck carrying scrap metal spilled its load onto a passenger vehicle, seriously injuring at least one person.

The accident happened about 6:30 a.m. at the I-76 westbound ramp and Route 202, in Upper Merion, 6ABC Action News reports.

The report indicates the tractor trailer apparently tipped over while going down the ramp, spilling scrap metal onto Route 202.
