A female SEPTA Norristown High Speed Line train operator was assaulted Wednesday by a female passenger, officials said.
SEPTA spokesman Andrew Busch said the operator of the northbound train was assaulted around 3:30 p.m. at the Ardmore Junction Station in Haverford Township, Delaware County.
Haverford Township Police arrested the alleged attacker and took her into custody, Busch said.
He added that the extend and the cause of the attack is unknown.
"We don't know if it was a punch or exactly what it was," Busch said.
The operator isn't thought to have suffered serious injuries, he added.
