SEPTA is seeking a man who was seen on surveillance video laughing at an unconscious passenger before snatching a cell phone from the man's pocket.

The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Broad Street Line Erie Station.

The suspect is believed to be 30-35 years old and was last seen wearing a gray "Cape May" sweatshirt.

In the video, the man, who was wearing a retired #15 Philadelphia Eagles jersey, the number of player Steve Van Buren, suddenly collapses from a bench to the floor.

The suspect approaches with a friend, and while laughing at the man, tries to wake him up.

When the unconscious passenger does not stir, the suspect reaches into his pocket and snatches a cell phone as well as what appears to be a SEPTA transit card, while his friend looks on, smiling.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call SEPTA Police at (215) 580-8111.
