SEPTA train hits 15-year-old boy in Chestnut Hill

A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after he was hit by a SEPTA Regional Rail train Wednesday.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Wednesday after he was hit by a SEPTA Regional Rail train in Chestnut Hill, officials said.

The boy, who was seriously injured, was hit around 1:15 p.m. by a Chestnut Hill East line just north of the Wyndmoor Station. The train was traveling at about 15 m.p.h., spokeswoman Heather Redfern said.
