NEW YORK. A federal grand jury indicted Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad on Thursday for driving a homemade bomb into Times Square and trying to detonate it. Shahzad received explosives training from Pakistan and was sent $12,000 from an unnamed co-conspirator in that country to carry out the plot, the indictment alleged.
“The facts ... show that the Pakistani Taliban facilitated Faisal Shahzad’s attempted attack on American soil,” said U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
