NEW YORK. A federal grand jury indicted Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad on Thursday for driving a homemade bomb into Times Square and trying to detonate it. Shahzad received explosives training from Pakistan and was sent $12,000 from an unnamed co-conspirator in that country to carry out the plot, the indictment alleged.
“The facts … show that the Pakistani Taliban facilitated Faisal Shahzad’s attempted attack on American soil,” said U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
