Brandon Ruffin, 22, the accused shooter in the death of 3-year-old Tynirah Borum on Friday night, was arrested last night "without incident," police said.
Ruffin now faces murder charges for the infant's death.
He was arrested around 10:30 p.m. on the 5700 block of Bloyd Street in East Germantown, hours after the police department's homicide unit held a press conference announcing that a warrant was issued for Ruffin's arrest.
Ruffin allegedly fired a handgun on the 1500 block of South Etting Street in Grays Ferry on Friday night after an argument with another male.
One bullet hit Tynirah, sitting on a porch, in the chest and killed her. Four other people were struck and injured, including the male Ruffin was arguing with, who was shot in the face and is in critical condition.
Douglas Woods, 22, who was biking with Ruffin on his handlebars before the shooting occurred, also is arrested and faces murder charges for Tynirah's death.
Ruffin was reportedly paroled out of jail, where he was doing time for a gun violation, just a month ago.
