Smokin’ Joe Frazier will lie in repose Friday and Saturday for fans and friends of the legendary North Philadelphia boxer to pay their tribute before his funeral, Frazier’s family announced Thursday.
The funeral for Frazier, who died Monday at 67 after a bout with liver cancer, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2800 W. Cheltenham Ave. Calling hours will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral.
He will lie in repose at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
“This will be an opportunity for his many fans, supporters and boxing lovers from around the world to pay their final respects to Joe Frazier,” his family said in a statement. “The family of Joe Frazier continues to stress that they want everyone to know that Joe Frazier was a man of God and a man who loved all of his family.”

In lieu of flowers, Frazier’s family has asked that donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
