The same week he cruised to a landslide victory in New Jersey's gubernatorial race, Gov. Chris Christie's silhouette will hit newsstands on the cover of Time magazine.

It's not surprising that the most poplar governor in New Jersey history — and quite possibly the most popular governor in the country right now — is on the cover of the prestigious magazine. It's the controversial headline that accompanies the photo —"The Elephant in the Room."

The popular idiom means something that's an obvious truth that's being ignored. But, some are saying it's a jab at his weight. [embedgallery id=250006]

We all know the hard-nosed Garden State leader is a top candidate for the 2016 presidential race. And of course, Christie has battled weight issues, even mocking himself by non-chalantly sneaking a doughnut during a David Letterman appearance or while slow-jamming the news with Jimmy Fallon. Christie in May underwent lapband surgery and has been losing weight ever since.

Do you think the headline is inappropriate and mocks his weight? Or is it merely pointing out the power the New Jersey governor holds right now in the GOP? Or, maybe a little bit of both?
