Songwriters give props to Boston’s ‘Titletown’

When a city’s four professional sports teams all win championships within a decade it causes some fans to do crazy things.

Christian Wisecarver and Billy Donohoe created an original rap video called “Titletown” on YouTube.

Posted five days ago, it has about 25,000 views.

The creators are videographers by day but, in their spare time, create music and sketch videos for their company The Super Secret Project, which gained fame last year with the release of the Jay-Z spoof, “Granite State of Mind.”

“So far the feedback’s been great considering that everyone else in the country will hate the thing,” said Wisecarver, who raps in the video.

The video is a tribute to the success of Hub sports teams and stars some legends and current players.

“Hold it together, Billy. Hold it together,” said Donohoe of his thoughts while rapping with the sports legends. “It was pretty cool.”

The duo met at Emerson College and have been creating movies for more than a decade. They said they weren’t trying to send a message with the video.

“At end of day it’s a piece of entertainment. We’re just trying to have fun and celebrate all of the accomplishments of the last decade,” Wisecarver said.
