A Staten Island man was arrested this week for allegedly shooting a pregnant woman in the face during a robbery attempt last summer that caused the loss of her unborn child.
Police said Abdourahmane Seck, 25, demanded money from the 28-year-old victim at an Elm Park intersection at 4:30 a.m. on June 17.
When the woman refused, police said Seck shot her in the face. She eventually lost the fetus due to injuries sustained during the incident.
Seck was charged with attempted murder and robbery. Police said he was also charged with five counts of robbery for incidents this month.
