Student breaks educator’s jaw with fist

EAST HAMPTON – A student punched an assistant principal at East Hampton High School, breaking his jaw. Police said yesterday that Keith Malsky, 51, was attacked Oct. 20 in a hallway of the school. The unidentified 17-year-old was charged with assault and possession of marijuana and suspended for five days. Newsday reported that officials said the attack came “out of the blue.” Malsky, whose jaw was wired shut, could miss six weeks.
