Seven residents of an Allston home were taken to Boston area hospitals after a fast-moving fire ripped through their home this morning.
One man was in critical condition after he and another person jumped from the second-floor windows of the home to escape the smoke and flames, fire official said.
The two-alarm fire broke out about 7:08 a.m. at 84 Linden St. The house was home to mostly Boston University students, fire officials said.
More than 60 Boston firefighters were called in to put out the flames.
The building is a total loss, fire official said.
