A SugarHouse Casino player hit it big Saturday night, taking home a $100,008 jackpot, according to gaming officials.
The Newtown, Pa., resident was playing a $1 “Wheel of Fortune” slot machine at the time of the win.
“Philly loves a winner, and we had a big one Saturday night!” SugarHouse Casino General Manager Wendy Hamilton said in a statement.
“The whole place lights up when we have a win like this – there are high-fives all around!!”
SugarHouse Casino has since its September 2010 opening awarded 27,000 jackpots of $1,200 or more –an average of more than 25 jackpots each day –and has paid more than $77 million in jackpot winnings to its guests.
