The fifth annual Summer Streets has arrived!
Starting this Saturday, August 4, nearly seven miles of the city's streets will be closed to cars and open to pedestrian and bike traffic. Check out the map here.
Lafayette Street will be closed from the Brooklyn Bridge up to Park Avenue and then all the way up to 72nd Street.

Along the route, New Yorkers have their choice: They can climb a rock climbing wall up at Spring Street or soar through the air on a zip line at Foley Square. There will also be free one-hour bike rentals at Centre St., Lafayette St., Fourth and Park Ave.
The streets will also be shut down on August 11th and 18th, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
