Suspect breaks bus rider's nose in possible hate attack

Police are searching for a man they say made anti-white comments to another man aboard a Manhattan bus and then attacked him, leaving him with a fractured nose and broken eye socket.

The suspect was riding a M60 bus traveling on West 127th Street about 2:45 p.m. on Aug. 30 when he made anti-white comments to the victim, 31, and then punched him in the face, cops said.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect, who is described as a black male, in his late 30s, approximately 5-foot-11 and 185 lbs.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 27463 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
