The blond attacker whose punch left a man in Midtown Manhattan with a skull fracture is in police custody.
Authorities identified the suspect shown in video released Wednesday as Corey Pohan, 32.
Pohan threw a single fist at victim Paul Martone after the two got into a verbal dispute over Martone's white chihuahua at the intersection of West 55th Street and Ninth Avenue, not far from Martone's home.
Video taken at the time shows the punch throw Martone to the ground, fracturing his skull, while Pohan ran away from the scene.
Police said Martone remained in stable condition at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center as of Thursday morning.
Pohan, a New Jersey resident, was caught by police Thursday morning. He is currently in custody of the New Jersey State Police and is awaiting extradition back into the city.
Charges against Pohan are pending.
