Police removed a suspicious black backpack from a city bus this morning.
The MTA M7 bus was evacuated near the intersection of 49th Street and Seventh Avenue just after 9 a.m., according to DNAinfo.
Seventh Avenue from 48th Street to 51st Street was closed to traffic and pedestrians while a member of the bomb squad boarded the bus to remove the backpack around 10 a.m.
