The T announced yesterday that it will hold four public meetings starting later this month for the public to hear about a plan to move Red Line trains to the single-operator system.
Currently, two operators work on Red Line trains.
Orange Line trains switched to single operators last summer in an effort to save money.
The T is one of the few transit systems to still use two operators to run a train.
Officials will give an overview of the single operation and allow for questions and answers.
The first meeting is scheduled for May 31 at the Cambridge Senior Center. For a list of meetings, visit www.mbta.com.
