T trains to halt for moment of silence

The MBTA plans to do its part to mark the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on Sunday.

All subway trains will be held at station platforms Sunday to pause for a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., the T announced Saturday night on the GM’s Twitter page.

That time marks the moment when the first hijacked plane, American Airlines Flight 11, collided with the north tower of the World Trade Center.
